My approach to dentistry begins with respect for the natural tooth. Whenever clinically appropriate, I believe in preserving healthy tooth structure, choosing conservative treatment options, and creating restorations that work in harmony with the teeth around them.

The goal is to understand the whole picture and choose the treatment that makes sense for the individual patient. That philosophy is at the heart of everything you will find here.

I want my patients to understand the “why.”

For many years, I have watched patients arrive at dental appointments knowing what they were told they needed, but not always understanding why they needed it.

But dentistry is rarely that simple.

There are often different ways to approach the same problem, and those choices can affect how much natural tooth structure we preserve, how a restoration functions, and how natural the final result appears.

That is why I created this Journal. I want to share the same conversations I have with my patients every day.
